God
Our desire is to honour and glorify God in his triune nature: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We choose to offer a balanced emphasis on all three parts of his nature, being sure that we acknowledge the Father heart of God as Creator. Also acknowledging Jesus’ life, death and resurrection by which and through whom we are saved. Without forgetting the transforming power of the Holy Spirit who indwells us, comforts us, and empowers us to live the life God has called us to.
Discipleship
We value discipleship. Our desire is to be continually growing in our commitment to Jesus Christ, and to do this through God’s grace. The life of a disciple is one that is focused on becoming more like their master – for us that Jesus Christ, we value continually becoming like Him.
Bible
We value God’s written word to us. We will always preach and teach from the Bible, encouraging each other to study it as God’s own love letter to us.
Prayer
We value a walking and talking relationship with our Heavenly Father. Prayer is the method we use to communicate with God, both to speak to and listen to God. There will always be opportunity for us to pray at our services and gatherings.
Community
We value the community God has placed us in. Our desire is to engage with and invest in the lives of the people who live in our local community, without any agenda we will love people because we know Jesus loves them.
Mission
The God we serve is a ‘missionary God’. He is on a mission to reconcile the world to Himself through his Son Jesus Christ. We value our responsibility to be involved in God’s mission and we do this intentionally. We personally share the life of Jesus with those who don’t know him, support overseas missionaries, and send mission teams.
Serving
We value the opportunities we get to serve Jesus and each other, knowing that Jesus came as a servant leader, we too desire to have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. There are many opportunities to serve the body of Christ here, and also to actively serve our wider community.
Baptism & Communion
We value Baptism and Communion as the sacraments of the church commanded by Christ and ordained as a means of grace when received through faith. They are tokens of our profession of Christian faith and signs of God’s gracious ministry toward us. By them, He works within us to quicken, strengthen and confirm our faith.
